Black Diamond Heavies are a "deep-south blend of dirty whiskey-addled rock'n'roll...When they settle into a mean bluesy groove, they're unstoppable, marrying gravelly vocals with garage-rock organ solos and a John Bonham backbeat." (Rock Sound) A 2-piece: John Wesley Myers, the left hand of rhythm, right hand of soul, on bass keys, fender rhodes, organ, and vocals. Van Campbell on drums and vocals. Sons of a Baptist preacher (Myers) and Kentucky bourbon distillers (Campbell “Old Rip Van Winkle”), the Heavies' have gospel, blues, soul and raw fever in their blood.
